Little did I know when I began grad school that I would meet
Jennifer
Renfro Travis: my wife, best friend and love of my
life.
I started at UH in the fall of 1997 while Jennifer began a year later in 1998. Since both of us are grad students in the math department, it didn't take long for us to meet. We soon became friends and started to spend time together. We started "dating" in January 1999 and began spending more and more time with each other during the spring and summer semesters. Then, I asked "The Question." On September 17, 1999 I asked Jennifer to marry me and she said "Yes"!!! Our wedding was on June 3, 2000 at our church in northwest Houston and it was a glorious day! I look forward to many years of "wedded bliss" with Jennifer.
